Computers are the lifeblood of any business. They are also taken for granted much the same as most vehicles. The only differences being that we regularly service our vehicles to keep them running and explode into a state of panic when our computers stop or fall over.

Many organisations assume their systems to be fool proof, as they ‘have never really given us any trouble’. Many small businesses even administer their small networks themselves. We used to.
As the size of your network expands it does become more unmanageable to a busy owner/manager and this is past the point where the service should be outsourced.

A typical day in the office included ‘my PC will not boot up properly, Sage isn’t printing my invoices, I can’t get on the web, I can’t send e-mail, my machine has locked, I have a virus alert’. When you have 5-10 people or more the above problems are compounded. Add in the problems with people working from home and requiring access to your networks and the potential time wasting elements are huge.

With the above in mind we contacted several local companies claiming to offer ‘all levels of network support’.

P-A-S were the only company who listened to and was sympathetic to our needs. Simple problems can be handled in house to save wasting time on costly call outs. If you want good value from a supplier you do not go out of your way to waste their time. Having said this even the small problems can be a time consuming exercise to fix and P-A-S have been able to set our networks up in such a fashion that they can deliver most software support solutions remotely. This is an invaluable service to us.

In a similar fashion we can easily connect to our own networks from home meaning we never miss e-mail and can work from home as the need arises.

Also, since they began overseeing the running of the network we have never experienced problems with virus attacks or software conflicts.

Overall, their approach and service is a breath of fresh air and we whole heartedly recommend their service to anyone who is looking at simplifying and outsourcing their PC requirements.
